Was thinking of my good friend, the Late Charles Prince, of Company 2, Takoma Park VFD. Was remembering the Friday night fire at the all-night drug store in Silver Springs, where we got paged out and took the back of the bldg. Then, we got sent home because they couldn't locate the fire. Just got back to the station and we got paged out again. We hit the roof to ventilate, but the roof felt spongy and Sgt Prince ordered us off the roof. As he was climbing onto the ladder, the roof went in. That was a close call but I always trusted his judgement. I was fortunate to also work at the same business as Sgt. Prince worked at, so we had a good relationship. I also enjoyed enjoyed working at Holy Cross & Washington Adventist Hospitals in their Emergency Rooms as an EMT Tech. Thanks for the good memories Takoma Park. Great fire department!!

Thank you to everyone for the cards, support and words of encouragement that have been sent to Jamie. This has been great motivation as he continues to make progress. We have a long road ahead but with continued support from the fire/ems family it makes those impossible days a little more possible. Please continue to provide the inspirations as the holidays approach.

Hello. I just wa looking at the images from this years convention and just thinking about how much I miss it. Congrats to Roger Powell. Maybe one year I will make it again. I think it's been like almost 10 years.
Great site, I found it looking for links in the fire service, it was linked (double link) off CFI Trainer Keep up the good work, and always think Life Safety, the life it saves may be your own
I would like to take this opportunity to thank the members of the MSFA who sent cards and called on the death of my father-inlaw. It meant alot to my wife and my son and i goes to show that firefighter blood is thicker then water. My wife didn't believe how much the MSFA does for their members but now she does so once again thank you for everything you did.
