At the Executive Committee meeting at the Flintstone Volunteer Fire Department in Flintstone, MD, Maj. Gen. James A. Adkins, the adjutant general of Maryland, presented Past President Lee Sachs with a matched pair of Maryland Challenge Coins - one from him and one from Governor O'Malley - recognizing hime for his service to the MSFA and the citizens of Maryland. Past President Sachs has worked diligently for years coordinating communication between the Association and the Maryland Department of the Military.
