Background:
Each year, the NVFC honors a volunteer firefighter for exemplary performance. This prestigious national award affords the recipient with a place in history with the NVFC. The award is presented at the NVFC's Fall meeting. The rules and regulations for the NVFC Annual Award are unlike those of the MSFA Firefighter of the Year Award.
Award Rules:
The following conditions should be considered when submitting a candidate's nomination. Individuals selected must have given outstanding service to his or her state or state association in the fire service. This award is not an award for heroism.
Nominations in the form of a resume must be submitted to the NVFC with a duplicate submitted to the Maryland Director to the NVFC, no later then July 1st of each year.l
