ROLL OF HONOR

Purpose of Award: Recognition of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. Award Sponsor: Dr. Howard Raskin and the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department Award Administered By: Maryland State Firemen’s Association Hall of Fame Committee Background: During the 1993 Convention Dr. Howard Raskin (father of Lieutenant Nathanial Raskin), along with the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Department presented a memorial plaque to hold the names of the volunteer fire, rescue, and EMS personnel who lost their lives in the line of duty. The memorial plaque was accepted by the Executive Committee and will be permanently displayed in the Volunteer Firefighter’s Room, Adult Education Center, University of Maryland, College Park. Award Rules: All volunteer fire, rescue, and EMS personnel who have paid the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty for their communities will be honored. The names of honorees should be submitted as soon as possible with as much information as possible to the Hall of Fame Committee. The following address should be used for submission: C.
