In preparation for the recertification process, the Transportation Committee is requesting that each Company provide the name of their “Company Tag Coordinator” via email, or link form from the web page, or U.S. Mail. We will work with the Company Tag Coordinator to make sure that their company’s information is correct via the CountyTag Coordinator.
The Transportation Committee is also requesting members who have changed Company Affiliations in the last 5 years to go online to the Transportation Committee’s web page and fill out a change of affiliation form. We will update our database with the change of information. This will help streamline the recertification process.
Reminder: If members of your company have the old black and white MSFA logo tags, they will not be recertified. Members with the old black and white MSFA logo tags are not listed on your company’s recertification printout. They can contact the committee and a they will be sent a Tag Certification form to fill out, along with a MVA VR-124 form. This will enable the member to receive a MSFA Logo Tag fee-free.
I have recently received a number of requests to reinstate individuals that did not pay or the member’s company did not remit the previous recertification fee. These individuals are received letters from MVA that their tag cannot be renewed because it has been flagged by them. Letters were requested from the member’s company stating that the individual was a member in good standing and then I must write a letter to MVA given them the authority to renew the tag.
This is why it is so important for all member companies to take the time to contact their members and collect the recertification fee.
