Greg Skinner, Charter President of the Norrisville VFC

The Norrisville Volunteer Fire Company expresses its deep regret the passing of Founder and Charter President, Gregory M. Skinner on Sunday January 31st 2010. Greg was one of the 5 original founders of our Company and our first meeting was held in his garage. Greg dedicated his life to helping his community and friends. Originally a member of Citizens of Fawn Grove VFC, he stepped up in 1994 and took the reigns and helped and guided us to build our company. After stepping down from President he served as EMS Chief and EMS Lt. Greg was a member of the Masons, where he held the top position there. He was the owner of Norrisville Engraving Company, where he made only the finest quality plaques and awards. Greg was the kind of person that no matter how bad you felt he could always get you to smile. He will be missed tremendously by all of us.
A memorial service celebrating his life will be held on Sunday February 7th, 2010 starting at 1300 with a visitation, and the service at 1400. The service will take place at the Norrisville VFC, at 2134 Harkins Road, Pylesville Md. A time of fellowship will follow the service at the fire station.
In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to your local fire company or favorite charity in Greg's name.
