Thank you for inducting my Aunt, Madeline Brady, into the MSFA Ladies Auxiliary Hall of Fame. Aunt Madeline was a 50+ year member of the Ocean City Volunteer Fire Department. She will also be remembered with her name on one of the bricks for the memorial in Ocean City. She loved Ocean City and the wonderful friends she made there, she loved Maryland, and she loved volunteering for the fire department. Thank you.

Hello all. I would like to let every one know that there will be an estate sale of Mary Alice's (Mom) collection of fire memorbilia & collectibles on Octber 27th at her former residence. For those of you that knew her she was quite the collector and has many nice items. Unfortunately we do not have the space for a lot of it & I could think of no better home for it than with some of your members of the auxillary that she endeared so much.

Also, abeit belated, the family wishes to thank you for the nice turnout shown by the memberships of the state, county, and her home auxillary of Hampstead at her funeral service in August. It was touching to see people from all corners of the state and county, which is testament to the devotion that she had to the orginizations.

We planned our vacation this year to include visiting your Expo site. Our family was joined by two other couples from our FD. We were impressed by the show and amazed at how many people I saw in the booths that I knew. The members of the MSFA who were in the booths and info stations treated us like family. We lunched on Tuesday at your picnic and talked with many people who also made us feel at home. Your parade was fabulous. All in all our vacation was a big hit part in fact to the hospitality of everyone we met. It is true. The Brotherhood is a LARGE FAMILY. Thank you for allowing us to visit your annual fete.

As a tax payer, the value for my dollar goes farther in the hands of dedicated volunteers. As a home owner, I sleep better at night knowing that trained personnel will respond to my emergency. I take pride in knowing that a son and grandson are both volunteers, taking up the slake that I can no longer do.
I say, Thank you my brothers.

I am a citizen of Charles County, Maryland and a good friend of mine, Chuck Pembleton, just received the Smith Stetham Safety Award yesterday in Ocean City. I have known Mr. Pembleton for many years and know him to be a dedicated, reliable and honorable person and volunteer. He can always be depended upon in any situation. You have a made an excellent choice in the recipient of this award. My blessings to all volunteers everywhere, you make a difference!

I had hoped the Trumpet would have had something in it about the $8,000 donation by the Harford County Ladies Auxiliary to the Bessie Marshall Benefit Fund. I would like to challenge all other counties to do something to help this worthy fund.

I thought this would be an easy process with lots of friends being Firefighters but it has been difficult. I would like to keep this private in meaning but I am looking for Robert Brooks. The last known station that he was at was bethesda Naval (he is probably retired and in his 50's, I think). If anyone knows him, I would like to speak to him. It has been over 35 years and with the situation at hand........ I would like to keep it very private. I appreciate anyone in the Montgomery County area to contact me or if Mr. Brooks happens to come across it, contact me please. Thank you and Keep up the good work everyone.

Can anyone help Mr. Vanags?

Hello Leonard King - great site !
Stumbled upon your Web site looking for contact information for John Hoglund. I see you are honoring him with a luncheon--Well deserved and I am truly proud to know him, he has been such a great friend and colleague to my dad Bob Smith and our family. You and he continue to serve our state and the fire service tirelessly and with dedication. It is to be admired.

It is finally comming together. The progress seems slow for now but should improve as the various committee chairs and other significant contributors log in and submitt information to the site. it will take the entire MSFA leadership team however to make the MSFA Web site a great success.

Glad to see we're making progress, Check the Heading Graphic. I think you needed some word changes there after the executive committee meeting. Are you going to be able to get that fixed?
