December 15, 1944 – October 19, 2019

The Auxiliary of the Leonardtown Volunteer Fire Department is mourning the loss of active member Anne Dement. On the evening of October 19, 2019, Anne passed away peacefully at the home of her caregiver and devoted friend, Ed Flynn, after a short illness.

Anne has been a member of the Auxiliary since October 2014. She was very creative and a talented artist. Anne always had a smile for everyone. During her years with the Auxiliary, she was a valued member of many committees and chaired the following: Fire Prevention, Outreach, and Kitchen. Anne was also the Income Tax Modification Incentive Program Coordinator for several years.

Continuing her giving spirit, Anne has donated her body to the State Anatomy Board of Maryland for research and the possibility of helping others.
