Recently the Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company decided to donate our 1994 Spartan/Quality 1500/1000 engine to a needy fire company in the United States. A post was posted on the National Volunteer Fire Council’s Voice page and we were
over whelmed with all the request.
There is such a huge need in this country that I decided to put together a spreadsheet and share the need with all of the companies in the state of Maryland. If your company is in a position to help one of these companies please reach out to to me and I will send you the list. jflongjr@yahoo.com
The Ferndale Volunteer Fire Company is proud to announce that we have chosen the Chestnut Ridge Volunteer Fire Company in Sneedville, Tennessee as the recipient of our 1994 Spartan/Quality engine.
We realized, by all the request we received for the engine, that there is a great need for fire apparatus across the country. We have compiled a list from all the request and will be forwarding the list to all the fire companies across the state of Maryland. We are hoping that other companies will do the same thing as we are doing.
