The Mission of the Maryland State Firemen's Association is to Serve, Promote, Advocate and Represent the Interest of the Volunteer Fire, Rescue, and Emergency Medical Services of Maryland
   

It is with a heavy heart that the MSFA Joins the Cabin John Park Volunteer Fire Department to announce the passing of past MSFA Executive Committee Member and Chairman - Fire Chief James P. Seavey Sr.

 

Chief Seavey passed away peacefully at his home early this morning surrounded by the love of his family and closest friends. Information on a memorial service will be forthcoming.

Regardless of your relationship with the Seavey family, they are requesting that you please respect their privacy at this difficult time and do not contact them directly. At the request of CJPVFD Fire Chief Corrine Piccardi, Past President Paul Sterling, Jr. will be the family liaison for the MSFA.

Rest In Peace our friend. No more pain or suffering.

   

It is a with heavy hearts that the MSFA joins the Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company to Announce the Line of Duty Death of:

Assistant Fire Chief Daniel “Danny” Lister



The Queen Anne-Hillsboro Volunteer Fire Company has announced the untimely death of Assistant Fire Chief Daniel “Danny” Lister.


Chief Lister was operating on the scene of a motor vehicle collision with multiple entrapped patients on Maryland Route 404 at Old Queen Anne Road and suffered a medical emergency. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful and Chief Lister passed away at the University of Maryland Shore Regional Heath at Easton.

All services for Chief Lister will occur at Chesapeake College, in the Todd
Performing Arts Center, 1000 College Circle, Wye Mills, Maryland 21679.

 

Viewing-Friday, September 7th, 5-7 PM
 

Memorial Service-Saturday, September 8th, Service begins at 11 AM, doors open
at 9:30 AM

 

All Fire Companies wishing to bring apparatus are encouraged to contact Chief
Eric Kellner at 410-443-1870.

Governor Larry Hogan has order all Maryland State Flags flown at Half Mast until Assistant Fire Chief Lister is laid to rest.
