If you are 1) attempting to login to the MSFA Members Area, 2) are certain* that you have recreated an account – a requirement following the site relaunch November 21, 2019**, and 3) receive an error that your password is incorrect, it is likely because your web browser stored an older version of your login credentials. Most browsers offer login credential storage to make logging into websites frequently easier for you. Your browser may have your login information stored from the previous MSFA.org website.
Here are the steps to delete the stored login information from your browser.
Google Chrome
- Open a Chrome Window.
- Click on the three dots on the top right corner. Select Settings.
- Select Passwords. Here you’ll see a number of saved passwords for various websites.
- In the top-right corner you’ll see a Search box to search your stored login credentials. Type msfa.org here.
- Click on the three dots next any / all results returned (there may be multiple) and select Remove.
- The next time you login to the Members Area successfully, you should be prompted by your browser to store your login info (if you have the setting enabled) and can decide to allow it to store the correct / new set.
Mozilla Firefox
- Open a Firefox window.
- Click on the menu option in the top right corner.
- Choose Options. Select the Privacy and Security tab.
- Go to Saved Logins under Forms and Passwords.
- Here you’ll see a number of credentials saved for different websites.
- Delete any / all msfa.org entries (there may be multiple) from this list.
- The next time you login to the Members Area successfully, you should be prompted by your browser to store your login info (if you have the setting enabled) and can decide to allow it to store the correct / new set.
MS Edge
- Open an Edge window.
- Click on Settings and More.
- Select Settings and go to Privacy and Security.
- Under Clear Browsing Data, select Choose What to Clear.
- Select any / all msfa.org Passwords (there may be multiple) and click on Clear.
- The next time you login to the Members Area successfully, you should be prompted by your browser to store your login info (if you have the setting enabled) and can decide to allow it to store the correct / new set.
Opera
- Open an Opera window.
- Click on the Opera logo on the top left corner.
- Select Settings and go to the Advanced section.
- Click on Privacy and Security and find the Passwords and forms section.
- Click on Passwords and a new tab will open up. You’ll see various passwords saved on the browser.
- Click on the three dots next to any / all msfa.org passwords (there may be multiple) and select Remove.
- The next time you login to the Members Area successfully, you should be prompted by your browser to store your login info (if you have the setting enabled) and can decide to allow it to store the correct / new set.
Apple Safari
- Open a Safari window.
- Click on Safari in the menu bar and select Preferences.
- Go to the Passwords tab.
- You’ll see a number of saved passwords. Select any / all msfa.org passwords (there may be multiple) you want to remove and click on Remove.
- The next time you login to the Members Area successfully, you should be prompted by your browser to store your login info (if you have the setting enabled) and can decide to allow it to store the correct / new set.
