The application is something much better suited for a laptop or desktop instead of a phone or tablet. The information needed to create an account is found towards the bottom of the webpage and there is even a youtube video that explains how to apply.

This recruitment for the Firefighter/Rescuer I (Recruit) entry level position and will be used to establish eligibility for a recruit class that will tentatively begin in fall of 2020. Applicants must possess the following minimum requirements:
18 years old at the time of appointment (on or before signing a conditional offer of employment)
High School graduate or equivalent acceptable to the State of Maryland on or before July 1, 2020.
US citizen or resident alien
Possess a valid, non-provisional Class “C” (or equivalent) driver’s license from the applicant’s state of residence.
Based upon service needs, hiring preferences may be given to applicants who possess one or more of the following at the time of application (subject to verification):
Veterans and Veterans with Disabilities
Paramedic (National Registry Paramedic)
Residency in Montgomery County, Maryland
Multi-lingual skills (Spanish, Amharic, Chinese, French, Korean, Vietnamese, or American-Sign Language)
Advanced education above a high school diploma or GED (30 or more college credits from an accredited college or university, Associate Degree, or bachelor’s degree, etc.)
Applicants who meet the minimum requirements will be invited to take the written examination, which is tentatively scheduled for February 28, 29 March 1, 2020.
The hiring process includes a written examination, interview panel, background investigation, and the Candidate Physical Ability Test (CPAT). A selection committee will review the results from each component of the hiring process when making final selections. Applicants chosen by the selection committee will be given a conditional offer and must take a medical exam and drug test.
