FEMA has announced the opening of the application period for the Assistance to Firefighters Grant (AFG) program from November 8 through December 17. There are important changes with this year’s AFG program that you need to know about before applying. To help prepare departments to submit an application for this grant program, the Maryland State Firemen’s Association (MSFA) Grants Committee, in partnership with the Maryland Fire and Rescue Institute (MFRI), is pleased to announce a series of FREE fire grant workshops to be presented on-line.

Dates of the workshops: November 23 and 30, December 2 and 8. The workshops are scheduled from 7pm to 8pm. All workshops are the same and you only need to attend one. These workshops will be conducted on-line using the ZOOM application to eliminate the need to travel to hear these important updates to the grant program.
