As we all know that we are facing the COVID-19 Pandemic I have looked at several issues at hand and with the deadline of the Fire Prevention Awards I’ve moved the deadline to May 15, 2020. It will have to be in the hands of the Stae Fire Marshal Office. It can be turned in to your local site and then we will make sure it is transferred to the Judging location at Head Quarters.

I’ve taken in some comments and I feel due to some of the responsibilities of the departments that having to deal with the COVID-19 response it’s only fair. This will only apply to this years awards for Fire Prevention and Life Safety.

This does not apply to any other awards that the MSFA has listed. Again this only applies to the Fire Prevention and Life Safety Awards and this includes the Silver Spring Trophy.

I would also ask that if you will be applying that you send me an email so that we know to look for a entry. Please email me at tacrisman@hotmail.com once I receive this I will respond back with an acceptance letter.
