The MSFA Recruitment and Retention Committee is excited to announce this year’s Statewide Recruitment Weekend for April 18th and 19th, which coincides with the start of National Volunteer Week! If your department is planning on holding a recruitment Open House, please send your information to MSFA Executive Director, Kate Tomanelli, so it will be announced on MSFA’s social media platforms as well as on the marylandvolunteer.org website.

MSFA hopes to have many participating departments this year, as the need for fire service volunteers is at an all time high. Your department can take advantage of all of the MSFA recruitment tools found in the Recruitment and Retention Toolbox, located on the home page of the msfa.org website. Included in this toolbox are customizable marketing pieces, tips for a successful open house, how-to videos for recruitment interviews, and more.
