The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department is proud to announce that they will be hosting the 75th Annual Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association (SMVFA) Convention. The Convention will be held on April 30 – May 1, 2022, at the Bay District Volunteer Fire. We are hosting this event as our Fire Chief Joseph Gould of Bay District VFD, will be installed as President of the SMVFA.

We have a convention book being published that member companies (or members) can place an ad in, the information can be found on the following link – https://www.smvfa.net/content/convention/file/2022_convention_book.pdf.

Due to the COVID19 pandemic the annual convention and parade has not happened for two years. The parade and fireman’s games will be on Sunday, May 1, 2022. The parade will start promptly at 1:00 pm (rain or shine) and the fireman’s games will begin after the completion of the parade. The Bay District Volunteer Fire Department Inc. is seeking corporate sponsors to offset the cost of the convention. The Bay District VFD and Southern Maryland Volunteer Firemen’s Association are both Tax Exempt Organizations and all contributions are tax deductible.
